NOTE: The MU calculation is meant for the Versa HD machine or Varian C-series machine only. The calibration setting assumed is 1 cG/MU at $d_{max}$ for a 10x10 cone at 100 cm SSD. The dose is prescribed by the physician at a certain PDD level and the bolus thickness is specified. A cutout factor should be measured by the physicist when the radius of the cutout is less than 0.88 x √ (Ep0), where Ep0 is the most probable energy of electrons incident on the surface, equal to 2.33 MeV/cm x R50. It should be noted that the conefactors are normalized to 1.000 for a 10x10 reference cone. The code should not be used for any other reference cone. Disclaimer: The responsibility of using this program in the clinic rests entirely with the user.
